Edwin Riungu is a mechanical engineer with extensive experience in managing engineering workshops and maintenance operations to drive efficiency and high overall equipment effectiveness. He has worked in a wide range of multinationals where he has successfully implemented continuous improvement to enhance reliability of equipment, staff upskilling and lean utilization of resources. He has been a workshop manager at Mpala since April 2023, supporting research by fleet, equipment,fabrication and plant maintenance. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and is currently in the process of completing his Masters in Project Management, both of which he pursued at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
