Wounded Elephant Finds Safe Haven

An elephant with a pronounced rear left leg limp has found its way into the Mpala Research Centre and is treated by Kenya Wildlife Service veterinarian Dr. Matthew Mutinda.

An elephant with a pronounced rear left leg limp has found its way into the Mpala Research Centre. The Kenya Wildlife Service Vet in the region, Dr Matthew Mutinda, answered a call by the head of Security, Julius Nakolonyo. Sadly, the elephant has also lost part of its trunk to a suspected poaching attempt. This video captures the events leading up to the moment the elephant stands up and begins to walk again after treatment.
