Tony Maina is a certified public accountant with over 15+ years of experience in accounting and finance management, budget management, financial reporting, cash flow management, inventory control, project financial cycle management and taxation. His professional spans in various industries from horticultural, ranching, commercial, financial services and Non-Governmental Organization. He joined Mpala Research Centre in 2012 as an accountant and later as chief accountant, currently he is the Chief Finance Officer.
Tony holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Jomo Kenyatta University of Technology, Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance from Karatina university and, post graduate Diploma in Business Management from Kenya Institute of Management, CPA (K) and member of Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya. Outside of work, Tony loves outdoor sports, football and cycling and also enjoys hiking his greatest expedition being hiking Mt Kenya.
